Gotta get back on it.
A fight broke out in the stands during the Home Run Derby. Lovely.
Girl in white: I think the Boston Celtics are the best team in the NBA

The first woman to win a gold medal in the sport of boxing is
Nicola Adams of Great Britain. That was total domination on her part. Cancan had no answer. I can only wonder what’s next for both fighter. Considering Cancan is Chinese, I assume she’ll be back for the next Olympics to try and win a Gold Medal for China while Nicola might contemplate going pro.
Next up is Katie Taylor vs. Sofya Ochigava
Today at 2:45pm ET, the U.S. Women’s Soccer team will finally get their chance to take on Japan again after last year’s devastating World Cup loss. Soccer (or football, as the rest of the world calls it) was introduced to the Olympics at the 1900 Games in Paris, but women did not compete until the 1996 Games in Atlanta. “The Women’s World Cup and Olympics both occur in four-year cycles, in back-to-back years” (NBC). The U.S. has won the gold medal in one of these events every cycle since 1996. To keep that streak alive, the U.S. women have to win today. Otherwise, Japan will become the first team to ever win both gold medals in a cycle. No pressure.
